Introduction

This service request has been called for by the COO of Riordan Manufacturing, Hugh McCauley. The HR department within Riordan is looking to integrate a more sophisticated and state of the art information system. This may be done by implementing a multitude of existing tools into a single application, which in turn, will most likely help in improving the bottom line of the company.

Stakeholders

Within any new system implementation within a company, there will be a list of stakeholders involved in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). These involved stakeholders will be there to help in the decision making process and will offer a more accurate assessment of the new or upgraded system. Within Riordan, this will include the following:

CEO – Dr. Michael Riordan oversees all corporate strategies and is in charge of the entire company. His main focus is on the performance of the company not only with the service provided to its customers, but also the employees. The integration of a new HR system is something that he will directly involve himself to ensure quality for both Riordans customers and its employees.

COO – Hugh McCauley is under the CEO and enforces, directs, and coordinates everything Dr. Riordan puts forth in regard to the company’s policies, goals, and objectives. Mr. McCauley is also the requestor in this service request.

Director of HR – Yvonne McMillan being in charge of all human resource activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services, has a direct involvement and interest in the outcome of the system that will be implemented within her department.

Director of Accounting & Finance - Donald Bryson is in charge of all financial activities within the organization.

CFO – Dale Edgel makes sure that the accounting, finance, and HR departments...
