The article is basically about a project at IBM, where they attempt to codify workers by measuring a variety of variables. The project aims to optimize its employees. And how IBM can operate more efficiently “ Management by numbers”. The right people at the right place at the right time. in a large company like IBM in a tough competitive global economy it is important to effectively operate and control their business and its employees. Get a grip on their staff through word of mouth or personal contacts is too small and indistinct.

There, chose IBM to implement a systems for employees, which contributed to increased control out of the staff and to respond in as smoothly as possible to find the right person for the right job. For example: Online calendars show how employees use their time and who they meet. By tracking the use of cell phones and PDAs, they can track movements.
