In term of globalization it has become more important over the years to deal with different cultures and all of its aspects. There are however certain management theories that have been implement into multinational companies. The question at hand now is if it is possible how successful those ideas were implemented and how we could implement them. In order to answer this question it is important to first define the problem and what the sources for this problem could be. It has been a debate for years if it is even possible to implement those theories. Culture is according to Hofstede the main source of management differences in developed and emerging countries. There are however people who believe that culture does not limit the implementation of management theories and strategies. In fact many management theories that are in place in multinational all over the world are pretty much the same or only differ in very little matters. (Simon 1997) Another important factor in the implementation of those management theories would be the degree of industrialization (Lauter 1969). Industrialized countries have in most of the cases access to a better educational system therefor an expanded horizon. This means that education is an important factor when it comes to accepting different cultures or different kinds of views. Other theorists believe that depends mostly on the managers themselves and which management style they act according to. Meaning that some managers are able to find an easier access to their employees or have more delicate leadership abilities, which enables them to guide and direct people easier.

However, I want to focus my essay on the aspect of cultural differences by Hofstede. The problem however may be solved by globalization itself. The world is becoming a global village, this means that boarders are disappearing and people all over the world from different countries and cultures interact with each other on a daily basis.
