Developing Dialogue

"In the twenty-first century the real frontier will not be space, or the oceans' floors, or telecommunications, or genetic engineering, or a thousand other external pursuits. It will be human relations." (Prather, H. and G, 2009).

Our Professor, Dr. Frank Morelli, has taken us on an amazing journey to expand our knowledge base and research experience to grow in skill and expertise in business communication. Today, after a call from the school about the next course soon to begin, the end of this one journey feels imminent. I find myself speaking differently, I think differently having developed confidence and clarity in ideals to pave my way to becoming an artful management communication expert.

We have been provided direction and support to master our challenges and acknowledge and gain assistance from our support systems. We have learned and chose a variety of decision models which would affect an organization thrive. We recognized that organizational “good” and business success for the long term will come from a systems review and clearly charted dedication to communication processes and open channels of communication. Today, our focus is on directing dialogue in business relations to meet the growing needs of society.

Dialogue includes many variables in complex and culturally enriched business associations. To positively effect dialogue, all involved must have an emotional investment to move an organization forward to achieve success in both thought and action. I bought my farm in a small, farming community north of San Francisco. Yesterday, I was honored to have been invited to attend the Lakeport Main Street Meeting at the Carnegie Library, Lakeport, California.
