The purpose of this memorandum is to explain the importance of manager’s behavior in relation to InterClean’s operational objectives and its pending merger with EnviroTech.

As you are aware, InterClean has set aggressive sales goals for the upcoming year. In effort to reach those goals, the company has recognized the need for strategic transformation that will meet the needs of our clients resulting in increased market share. InterClean’s new approach will group sales representatives into multi-functional teams prepared to support InterClean‘s high-quality products with high-quality service (University of Phoenix, 2009). After the announcement of InterClean’s pending restructure, many employees became uneasy about his or her job status. As managers, it is important that we convey the need for this restructure and how it affects individual employees. The restructure should be viewed as an opportunity for everyone to excel in our evolving industry. InterClean is committed to its employees and will capitalize on the strengths of its sales force and train in areas of deficiency. Remember, the goal does not include downsizing but restructuring to meet the needs of our clients.

Undoubtedly, everyone is aware that InterClean has officially acquired EnviroTech, one of the company’s major domestic competitors in the corporate market. With this acquisition, InterClean has taken a giant step in achieving domestic market dominance in the sanitation industry.
