My Blessing is On the Way

Misfortunes are the unfortunate lifestyle, but misfortunes for a Christian are only fuel to obtain that next level. It is incredible hard in this life with all the struggles and challenges, but with the help of the highest sending spiritual messages to the spiritual one on Sundays and sending that unedifying amazing grace for all his children day to day that we stay afloat even through the strongest storm.

My recent obstacle of my parents’ divorce was almost the biggest storm I have experience, the death of my brother being the biggest. This storm started at such an early age that by the completion of it, I was super ecstatic that it was finally over. Due to the time period of me being a graduating senior and the next step in life was basically what determined the rest of my life, this storm took the best of me. Between the issues of finance, transportation to and from school on breaks, and just simple communication was extremely hard. In addition to all the issues ofbeing a freshman at any school did not help the issue, especially at a university.

But through this storm, I believe it was God’s way of strengthen me for this “real world”, that my high school teachers spoke of. Through this storm, I became more mature, more about business, and of course more humble. Humble being the most important for “yet He gives his undeserved favor to the low, the humble, and the afflicted.” This storm may not have prepared me for such a grateful gift as the St. Mark Baptist Church Scholarship, but indeed my blessing is on the way.
