PART B RESEARCH PROPOSAL

Information sheet

I am conducting a research project on how do we include the needs of Autistic children in the child care setting. This project describes a cumulative case study design investigating the effectiveness of embedded music therapy interventions designed for the inclusion of young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in an inclusive childcare program. Each of the three interventions addressed a key difficulty the targeted children faced during classroom activities and routines. This project will cover children’s life that are autistic where educators are keenly aware of the perspective and concerns of children and the benefits of family centered care and, thus, are valuable consultants regarding the physical environment of settings and the effect of these settings on the behaviour and adaptation of children. This project will also describe how children with autism and other developmental disabilities are taken care of and the preschool providing a comprehensive early childhood program for children from birth through age 6 and their families.

All results and findings collected will be kept locked away in a filing cabinet in my home. These materials will be kept confidential and used only for study purpose only
