BOEING

Boeing and NASA have had a long and healthy relationship since April 1981 starting with Colombia’s flight. Boeing named NASA their biggest business contractor in 2007. They have helped make many missions possible with the production of and not limiting to the space shuttle Orbiter, the lunar rover vehicle, and the Saturn V moon rocket. Today they are helping NASA with the completion and the running of the International space station. "Our goal is to help NASA implement technical innovations that improve quality and meet their aggressive cost-reduction goals while maintaining high safety standards," said Brewster Shaw, former astronaut and Boeing Space Exploration vice president and general manager. With that said, their relationship with NASA is most likely going to last for a quit a long time in the future.

Boeing has one of the most integrated and complicated networks there are for a large transnational corporation. Their mission statement puts a lot in perspective of whom they are and who they want to be. “We will be a world-class leader in every aspect of our business — in developing our team leadership skills at every level; in our management performance; in the way we design, build and support our products; and in our financial results” quoted from Boeing’s main mission statement. They strive hard to be one of the best businesses in the world. Their future looks bright in this vastly integrated world.

The strategies that are implemented in running their business are also very important aspects of the Boeing Company. They strive to run a healthy core business that can adapt to any situation. They also approach their customer base by leveraging strengths into new products and services. This will help them continue to grow and prosper. While they expand, they aim to get people working together as a global enterprise for aerospace leadership.
