Dear New Yorker:

Keeping our city clean is a top priority of my

administration. In fact, many New Yorkers believe that

a clean city is a safe city.

The Department of Sanitation plays a major role in

cleaning our city, but it is up to all of us, residents and

merchants alike, to keep the “Big Apple” shining.

The laws detailed in this digest were established to help us reach our goal. By heeding

them, you will be playing an important part in keeping our city clean and making it a place

we can all be proud to call home.
