Statement of Problems

MediSys is a privately held U.S. based medical service manufacturer. Lately, they have noticed a decrease in their growth, and to bring further bad news, two of MediSys’s more wealthy competitors have announced that they are moving into their market, launching products similar to MediSys’s IntensCare, a product they have been developing in hopes that it might give them an edge to resurrect their quick growth, and greatly increase their profits.

Main Problem:

The entry of their competitors into this market has put a lot of pressure on MediSys, to the point where they hired a new president with an aggressive strategy to set deadlines and make sure that said deadlines are met. If these deadlines are met, MediSys could secure a position in the market as an innovator in the field with the IntensCare product they have been developing. Meeting this deadline seems to be a lot more difficult than was predicted at first though. These delays are being caused by smaller issues among the teams working on the project, and since each team depends on the other to obtain a finished product that is ready to sell, these problems need to be fixed if there are even remote chances of meeting the aggressive deadlines.

Secondary Problems:

These Secondary problems are not so much secondary in the sense that they are less important than the main issue described, but instead they are problems on a smaller scale that need to be addressed before any progress can be made on the main problem.
