Potential Challenges of Dual Relationships

Even though the dual relationships of advocacy and mediation keep the human services field on the road to improving its programs and services, there are several challenges to contend with as an advocate or mediator. Because greeting the clients is a valuables tool to advocacy and mediation. The proper greeting is an important tool to have at your disposal. And I will advocate keeping the good qualities of whatever organization I am with where everyone can see them.

There are several challenges to contend with as an advocate or mediator. An ethical challenge in the relationships the mediator has lays in the way he, she greets the clients. The welcoming given before the procedure even starts sets the manner for, which the rest of the process will go. A good greeting shows conviction in the awareness of a healthy link between the mediator and clients.

One of the moral challenges involved in the relationships cultivated by a mediator is that of building trust. This means that when the mediator first meets his or her clients, for the process to go smoothly the clients must have confidence in the ability of the mediator. Establishing the regulations of how the meetings will function goes a long way towards gaining that trust.

Parties’ involved in the process will be instructed by the mediator to give the whole story, name areas of accord, incongruity, and assert the resolution to the predicament. After the clients tell the mediator all there is to discern regarding the crisis a strategy will come about on how the discussions will proceed, and the agreement reached. Every step the mediator takes in the process shows his, her ethical, moral standards, which brings trust from the clients involved in the process.
