Competitive Strategy

Every organization whether a business or not as said by Peter F. Drucker on his article, The Theory of Business has its theory of business and indeed that a valid theory that is clear, consistent, and focused is extraordinarily powerful that would eventually help an organization to be successful over the incoming years. Innovation, flexibility, and being aware of the traps of marginal thinking are my own so called theory of business.

“Competitive strategy is about being different. It means deliberately choosing a different set of activities to deliver a unique mix of value.” We already knew that the essence of strategy is choosing to perform activities differently that rivals do it is all about the importance of being unique. It is about giving importance to a certain whole system of activities, not just a collection of parts, gaining competitive advantage that comes from the way that the activities of a organization fit and reinforce one another it is also important to have a mindset that everything matters because it can be the key success factor for an organization. For me one way of being unique is through innovation because thru this we’re forced to look into the future, which has no data available about it but when we successfully passed this one we can assure that somehow we are already being unique.

It is also said in the article of Karl Albrecht, The Power of Bifocal Vision that every business needs to have this bifocal vision that is defined as the ability to perceived accurately things happening out on the horizon that will inevitably affect the enterprise, as well as the ability to focus on the more immediate, pressing events. It is important that we visualize the ins and outs of the business that we are about to manage because having a clear vision about this can actually help in the future when it comes to decision making.
