Introduction

Problems of leadership are of high interest for people for many years starting from the ancient times. Today external environment is characterized with high speed of changes, and the ability to adopt and work efficiently in dynamic conditions is one of the most required not only for managerial job-positions but even for students who want to apply for top-best educational programs. Of course under high time-pressure there should be people who not only know what to do, how to act and how to deal with troubles, but are also able to organize the others and to lead them to productive team-work and success. Without any doubts, the problem of leadership today is becoming more and more relevant. And one of the most important questions here is if it is possible to develop leadership skills from the inside or some features should be innate. Are good leaders born or they can be made? This paper analyzes theoretical concepts of leadership, features which are typical for leaders, leadership styles and several examples of different leaders in different fields and circumstances. The methodology of the research is the following: two big hypothesizes about leadership are formulated and tested using theoretical framework and practical examples from real business life. The result of the analysis is a conclusion about nature of leadership from the author’s point of view.
