Synopsis

Amit Guha is a Solution Architect in the SCP Team and has been with i2 since May 2004.

He has an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), an MS in Computer Science from the State University of New York, and a BTech in Computer Science from IIT, Kharagpur.

Prior to i2 he worked at Sun Microsystems, Vitalect and AT&T Labs.

i2 Experience

• June 2005 – Ongoing: Tata Steel, India, Metals – Steel

o 15 month onsite engagement at Jamshedpur, India

o SCM footprint: Monthly Forecasting (DM), Monthly Sales and Production Planning (SCP), Inventory Optimization (IO), Weekly Supply Capacity Planning (SCP), Weekly Allocation Planning (DF), Daily Order Planning (FP), Daily Inventory Pegging (MA) and Continuous Order Promising (DF)

o Module lead for SPP and SCP modules (part of 18-member team from i2)

o Extended MDM solution for centralized SCP data management, including workflows for PI maintenance, Calendar maintenance, and Scenario Management

o Development of integration workflows (using Informatica) between SCP modules and MDM, and between MDM and Legacy (SAP) systems

o Performance Manager module for customized reporting for the SCP modules, Scenario comparison and for reporting of Plan vs Actuals as part of the PDCA cycle

o Detailed modeling of the supply chain for Supply Planning modules, including in-plant manufacturing routes, locations, BOMs, resources, and distribution (external stockyards and processing centres)

o Design of abstract aggregate-level items for planning (PI) and forecasting (FI)

o Modeling of metals-specific process features like Arisings and Campaigns

o Modeling of Net-Realization and Costs for Profit Optimization Module in the monthly planning cycle

o Modeling of detailed weekly constraints like product-mix ratios, production limits, and transport

o Development of Acceptance Criteria and Unit Test...
