Plastic Bowls Inc. conducts internal investigations following allegations of improper revenue recognition from SEC.

Orlando, FLA, December 7, 2009 – Plastic Bowls Inc. announced today that Mike Patterson, Senior Vice President and CFO, resigned yesterday amid allegations from the SEC for improper revenue recognition for the 4th quarter 2009. Plastic Bowls Inc.’s fiscal year end was September 30, 2009.

Following the annual year end audit, PacewebbercaseHopper, Plastic Bowls Inc.’s external auditing firm, uncovered potential revenue recognition issues at Plastic Bowls Canadian facility. PacewebbercaseHooper found evidence that former CFO, Mike Patterson, had information on the improper revenue recognition procedures that took place at the Canadian facility but elected to take no action.

Jessica Farrar, Plastic Bowls Inc.’s Executive Vice President Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) and Internal Audit, has been appointed as Executive Vice President and CFO effective immediately. Outside of the corporate SOx and Internal Audit group, Farrar has held positions as corporate controller, treasurer, and vice president of investor relations. Farrar is the right person to head internal investigations and to ensure financial reporting is reflected timely and accurately.

The first item on Farrar’s agenda was to replace the area controller in Canada. Greg Hagan, former assistant controller has been appointed as the new controller of the Canadian operation. Farrar found emails sent that Greg Hagan to Patterson, notifying of the reporting issues.
