Job Satisfaction
Introduction
Job satisfaction is to the degree having positive attitude and feeling about their job where individuals’ needs are fulfilled in evaluation of job characteristics (Stone,R,J.: 2011).
State of job satisfaction levels in companies today
Basing on studies over 30 years, the rate of satisfaction is higher than dissatisfaction generally in U.S companies using single global rating method (Robin,S,P.and Judge,T,A. : 2012). To prove the worthiness of the studies, a job satisfaction facet is further used to justify it. (Robin,S,P.and Judge,T,A. : 2012) use the facet to judge satisfaction with aspect of work itself, 58% satisfied with pay, 22% satisfied with promotion, 65% satisfied with supervision, 69% satisfied with co-workers and 78% satisfied with the overall. Average of the people is satisfied with all the aspects except for their pay and promotion opportunities.
In global concept, (Robin,S,P.and Judge,T,A. : 2012)shows that most of the western countries are satisfied with their job while the eastern countries are less satisfied using a global countries study of 23 countries.
