Friendship

To whom do you hear the words “I will always be here for you”, “I’ve got your back” and “I care for you”? Who always makes you smile whenever you are down? Who do you trust the most whenever you want to entrust a secret? Who motivates you to be a better person whenever you are underestimating yourself?

Give up? A friend is the answer to all of those questions.

Many say, life is a journey, a process, an adventure, some prefer it as a game, a road and many more. But have you ever imagined taking that path alone? Single-handedly going through all the obstacles and trials in that particular path? Hard isn’t it? We cannot achieve what we want to achieve if we will carry our own story all by ourselves. We need persons that will help us get up if ever we would stumble down. We need persons that will erase our sorrows, our fears and doubts that lurks in our mind. We need persons who will remain with us through different times, good or bad, for us to sustain our will and determination to fight the ongoing battle of life.

A life without a friend is like a finger without nails, a guitar without its strings and America without its states. We can have many friends. A simple chat/talk with one another or the “getting-to-know” process can be a good example. It is proven effective by many for it produced friendships from different kinds of people. After that, the bond will take place. Sharing secrets, eating together and making fun of each other are some of the activities that friends often do. Then, a deeper connection between them happens. Trials will come and their friendship will be tested through those trials. This would determine the true friends from those who are not.

Who can be your friend? I can be your friend. The one seating right next to you now, can be your friend. The passersby can be your friend. Your teacher, he can be your friend. Even your dear parents can be your friend. Anyone can be considered a...
