Is Having Sex Before Marriage Okay

There has been a debate whether people are morally right if they have sex before marriage. Some say it is not a right thing since sex should come after marriage. Some say it is all right to have sex before marriage because having sex is a part of marriage. It is only a question of timing either before the marriage or after the marriage. This question has been a question for many years especially among teenagers, young adolescents, and girls.

People who object to having sex before marriage because:

- The Bible speaks clearly against premarital sex. Having sex is more than just a physical act; it is also a spiritual and emotional one as well.

- There may not be true love if they have sex before marriage

- Having an untimely baby may upset their life and plan

- They might regret since the person they have sex may not be the same one they marry

- The chance of being infected of HTI and other diseases is high

- Some people may lose their virginity which is a very valuable thing to a person

People favor having sex before marriage because:

- It is a choice. People can have this choice

- Sex has nothing to do with love. One can have sex at any time, not necessarily after marriage

- Sex is part of life. To make sure that they have a good life after marriage, the couple may try out having sex first

- If they trust each other and be married to each other, it does not matter when they have sex
