As Thomas Fuller said in the 19th century “Health is not valued till sickness comes”, for 46.3 million Americans in 2009 their health is of great value to them since they do not have health insurance. The number of people without health insurance is increasing; the Obama administration has proposed a reform that will provide health care to every citizen in America, regarding their race, gender, age; leaving no one behind. The Health care reform is being highly criticized and raising several questions, but no answers. Will the employers be forced to offer health insurance to their employees? How much more will employers have to pay? Will the health care reform offer an optimal service to the citizens? Where will all of the money come from? Who will pay employers or the person insured? Will future generations have benefit from of a health care reform? I agree that everyone should have the option and freedom of being insured. An illness should not be a greater problem more than what the illness is.

I find it amazing and interesting that fact the United States being one of the most important economical power in the world does not offer any type of health care system. Doesn’t the United States care about their people? Luckily for me I have been part of the 84.6 percent of the citizens most part of my life. My father has worked all of his life in Mexico for a company which offers a great health insurance plan; it includes any visit to the doctor, most laboratory exams, around 95 percent of a hospital bill, and even some medicines. When you have a health plan you go to the doctor on a regular basis and can detect any abnormality on time and prevent any disease. On the other hand without a health care plan you do not go to the doctor unless you are sick or need to. Besides detecting any illness or disease on time people do not need to medicate themselves, which in some cases can worsen the person or even end up being more costly. We need to demand free...
