Text books define marketing in various ways. Personally, I describe marketing as the promotion of products and services, creating for both, a sense of desirability, accessibility and value to the general public.
“Marketing is the social process by which individuals and groups obtain what they need and want through creating and exchanging products and value with others” (Kotler, 2010).
* “The management process responsible for identifying, anticipating and satisfying customer requirements profitably” (Jantsch, 2010).

* For an organization to achieve success there must be an important constant which is the
* process and the ultimate goal creates exchanges that are of satisfactory benefits to both the
* organization and their customers.
* The most important marketing function in an organization is to identify their customers and
* future potential customers, and to produce products and services that meet customer’s needs, and
* constant changing expectations.
* Marketing is the function of an organization that identifies their current and potential
* customers, creates products or services that meet the needs and wants of customers, persuades
* and informs the customers to purchases the products or services, and enforces the customers
* confidence with the purchase they have made.

* Examples of marketing in the business world are the exposure everyone has to marketing in their daily lives.
There are many billboards which surround the highways, logos are everywhere from the writing and pictures on t-shirts to center fields of super bowl and other sports events.
This is what true marketing is all about. The creation of exchange which is satisfactory, and provides benefits to consumers....
