Jin Qiu, a journalist of Chinese political Science, interpreted their unique relations in her journal: "The current state of China-Japan relations is characterized by two seemingly contradictory developments adjacent to each other: while economic and cultural relations have experienced an unprecedented and continuous improvement since the 1980s, Chinese and Japanese public perceptions of each other have been deteriorating" (1). China and Japan not only share the friendly relations between them but also share the unpleasant history. Those history is usually quite old, however because of both Chinese and Japanese spirit, those history went to generation to generation so that they can never forget about those. So once some kind of dipute happen between them, there would be high possibility that they get into worse conflict.
