Maintaining Coca Cola’s Superior Quality in a Global Market

Coca Cola is the number one pop drink in the world. For as long as can be remembered, Coke was the one to beat and still is the one that other beverage companies have fought to bring down. Coca Cola has had very few problems maintaining its status quo and has celebrated its achievement of remaining on top for the last twenty plus years. The carbonated king of the soft drinks is readily available everywhere in stores, restaurants and vending machines both here in the U. S. and abroad, internationally. The beverage is touted by the Coca-Cola Company to be sold in approximately 200 countries. Coca-Cola Company production is located in Atlanta, Georgia, and is most often recognized by simply the name of Coke. As well in European and Americas, it is called cola, pop, or soda in some parts of the U.S. Originally, Coca Cola was patented as an intended medicine upon its arrival in the late 19th century when John Pemberton invented the now famous beverage known as Coca Cola (Scribd.com, 2012).

Future, a perceptive businessperson bought out Coca-Cola by the name of Griggs Candler, whose rare tactics led Coke to its dominance as the leader in the world of the soft-drink market throughout the 20th century and in today’s marketing world. The Coca Cola flagship brand has withstood unsuccessful attempts to be joisted from the top, it is now over 120 years, and this Cola is still the one.
