1. Compare marketplaces with marketspaces. What are the advantages and limitations of each?

A market place is an on line market, usually B2B, in which buyers and sellers exchange goods or services. And a marketplace is a marketplace in which sellers and buyers exchange goods and services for money but do so electronically. The e-market is very similar to a physical market place however computerized systems make markets more efficient and provide more updated information to buyers and sellers. In a market space you promote your inventory and sell it to buyers.

2. Compare and contrast competition in traditional markets and that in digital markets.

Both markets are very competitive. Some items sell much better in a traditional market than a digital market. Traditional markets are very good to sell stuff fast on the spot. Digital market is more of a wider range you can sell fast but you can also sell slowly depends on how much need there is for your item. But digital always works better because you reach a bigger market you can go nationally or worldwide, as compared to traditional.

1. Identify the business model used by craigslist.

Craigslist is a market space that is rapidly growing. They have taken classifieds to a new level.

2. Visit craigslist.org and identify the social network and business network elements.

For the business elements they have for sale, jobs, gigs, and services. For the social network they have discussion forums, personals, community and housing.

3. Why is craigslist considered a site that changes the world.

I believe it’s because craigslist has so many things to offer and you can interact nationwide. And it’s all free. It makes networking easy.
