A. Introduction

People nowadays use different technologies to make their lives easier, effortless and more efficient. According to http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/technology, technology is the branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment, drawing upon such subjects as industrial arts, engineering, applied science, and pure science. One of the most popular technologies is the computer, based on www.ecomputernotes.com computer is an electronic device that is designed to work with Information. Computer allows users to access to the internet and do anything with just blink of an eye or a push of a button, including researching.

Researching is a must among students, so with that students really have to spend long hours in the library to gain knowledge and to find the information that they need. Time is one of the factors that students have to consider for them to stay longer in the library. But students usually have other subjects and in all they must allot time to do their other requirements. With the emergence of the computer , researching in the library may still be possible even without doing the usual process of transacting with the librarian as in the traditional library because they believed that digital library can give their needs as fast as the wind without any effort.

Licklider (2005) stated that digital libraries in the future are highly innovative and different in structure, processing, and access through heavy applications of technology that made it explode globally. Large resources and efforts have been expanded on the digital libraries research and practices.
