MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

SUBJECT: Armament Internal SOP

1. PURPOSE: This SOP establishes and outlines all procedures relative to the operation of the Armament Section of the Bravo Company, 47th BSB. This SOP is subject to change as mission and changes to Army policy and equipment so dictate. This SOP is to be considered a working document and will be updated as needed.

2. SCOPE: This SOP is applicable to all members of the Armament Section.

3. MISSION: The mission of the Armament Section is to provide dedicated Field level maintenance to the 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st AD. The Armament Section also provides backup maintenance support and special tool support to the Field Support Companies (FSC) in all Armament related areas. In addition, the Armament Section provides support to the Operational Readiness Float (ORF) Section in all armament-related areas regardless of the level of maintenance required.

4. GENERAL: This SOP supersedes all previous documents and is effective upon signature by the Maintenance Control Officer.

5. Questions, comments or suggestions pertaining to this SOP will be referred to CW2 Sanchez, Johnny M., Armament Systems Maintenance Warrant Officer, at 744-7103.

Armament Section Internal SOP

FOREWARD

SUBJECT: Internal Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) as of 10 Dec 11.

PURPOSE: To define the duties and responsibilities of the Armament Maintenance personnel and the mission of the Armament section.

MISSION: Provide effective armament support to the Heavy Brigade Combat Team (HBCT) and as needed, provide backup support to all other units within the theater of operation for both peacekeeping and wartime missions. Be capable of deploying anywhere in the world upon notice.
