You just got home from work and you cut on you television and only to see that someone has been killed again. The justice system that we have today is in all kind of turmoil. The justice system that we have in today's society focus on certain crimes such as white collar. Crime is all around us and we need to do a better job of controlling it.

Take a moment to describe the criminal you seen breaking into the store. One says he was tall male and the person other says he is a short male. There would be so many different descriptions of a criminal. When most people give a description of a criminal they are more like to remember the ones that created a criminal offence. We a people gravitate towards the violent criminals than those of “white collar” criminals. The reason that we steer away from reporting the office crimes is because we are afraid of losing our employment. The video gives us a good insight how crime is related to one’s social background.

Society view crime as someone violating criminal laws. This can be evaluated through different reports and statistics given by the government. Crimes such as rape, murder, robbery can be described as crimes of deviant behavior. Once the crime is committed we then have to look at all of the evidence to see whether it is substantial enough to make any arrest or even to get a search warrant. Then we have to question either the victim or the witnesses. That is why solve most of the crimes listed above are so hard to solve unless we catch the person in the act and nine times out of ten that will not happen. Most thing that we do are crimes in the eyes of the law and we do not even know that they are crime prime example would be jay walking. Most people violate this law everyday so how are we to control laws that we do not even know about.
