Introduction
Our case study is about Robin Hood and his band merrymen. Throughout this study, we find several problems which were faced by the group. Robin Hood and his band were having food scarcity problem, and the Sheriff position, which are getting stronger than before. This made him a serious threat for Robin Hood and his band. It also mentions about how Robin Hood tried to find best solution for his band problems, whether he should change their policy of outright confiscation of goods to a fixed transit tax or not. Since the band had increased into large number of members, merrymen need to modify their management and leadership strategy, and apply stricter and more discipline rule to organize band’s huge members.
We assume the band as though they are a legitimate business which needs consulting services. The organizational structure of merrymen is a typical top-down management style, with Robin Hood as the CEO and a few lieutenants serving in roles that have been delegated, i.e. information gathering, discipline, finances and provisioning. The four tasks that have been delegated and Robin Hood’s personal vendetta serve as the basis for many of the problems encountered by the merrymen.
This report includes merrymen’s competitive forces, key success factors analysis, current strategy determination, SWOT analysis strategy, and our recommendation strategies which we believe might solve Robin Hood and the band’s problems. Also, we provide...
