Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet
Part 1
For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.
Physical health: A characteristic is being at healthy weight being proportionate. A good activity would be exercising on a daily basis for example going running for an hour a day. Being physical healthy is a daily routine in my life especially now that I’m trying to lose weight. I try to dedicate at least an hour to a physical activity and eating healthy.
Social health: Being able to physically communicate with others meaning friends, family and relationships. You want to know how to communicate with all different types of people and have a good social life style. Social health was hard for me I was really shy but know I’m really open to all kinds of people. I’m able know to talk to everyone. I try each chance I get to get to know new people.
Intellectual health: A good character would be meditation. It allows you to stay focus and have a clear mind. I on a daily basis have a time in my day where I just stop all that I’m doing and close my eyes and clear my mind.
Environmental health: A good characteristic on the environment would be having respect for the world we live in. Means no littering, recycling, and going green. Activity would be cleaning up your community on a weekend. Picking up trash that you see due to other people littering. I recycle on a daily basis and when I see something that someone didn’t pick up I pick it for them.
Emotional health: An emotion would be would be expressing your feelings. If you cannot express your feeling and keep it bottled up inside it might have different side effects. You might say something at the wrong time or tone. I have learned in my life that you can’t...
