Logistics Management:

Logistics is a channel of the supply chain which includes planning, implementing and controlling the efficient cost effective flow of material. It is a process which adds the value of time and place utility. In other words logistics is the management of the flow of goods and services between the point of origin and the point of use in order to meet the requirements of customers or corporations.
