Amazon.com has become very successful because of the goals set when creating the company. Strategic planning provides the resources needed to keep the business moving forward on a daily basis, whereas financial planning focuses the efforts on the final destination. Strategic planning without financial planning may keep a business running, but not necessarily in the right direction. The company needs to come up with a strategic plan or simply described as a long-term plan. With this strategic plan, a company would not only be able to identify their goals, but also lay out concrete steps on how they can achieve them.

As stated in our annual 10K report, we at Amazon.com strive to offer our customers the lowest prices possible through low everyday product pricing and shipping offers and to improve our operating efficiencies so that we can continue to lower prices for our customers. In order to continue making efficient strides, it is imperative for us to maintain a progressive mindset. With that proclamation in mind, we strongly believe that our Certified Frustration-Free Packaging is one way that we can ensure integrity and overall ease of use for our customers. Although this effort may not seem like much, the packaging of products weighs heavy with most of our customers. Essentially, what Certified Frustration-Free Packaging does is eliminate the cumbersome and somewhat difficult packaging that products come in by replacing it with a generic, easy to use Amazon.com box.
