This document will describe an information system critical to the business processes of Huffman trucking company; I will describe how the information system has an effect on the organizational structure.

Huffman Trucking Company founded in the late nineteen thirties ("Huffman Trucking~our Company") with only one tractor-trailer and the desire to make a living hauling products and goods locally. After eighty years, Huffman Trucking is a nationwide transportation company, now has annual revenue of over six hundred million dollars. Huffman has locations all over the country including St. Louis, Los Angeles, Bayonne, NJ and many more. Huffman Trucking has over two thousand employees and drivers that haul material anywhere from Florida to Alaska. The company has many employees and customers and will need to make sure that all information is secure. To do this the information technology must be sound and bulletproof. You will need to have an enterprise system that can track and maintain millions of transactions daily. Huffman trucking company uses multiple types of general information systems, and there main objective is to track and locate thousands of tracker trailers all over the United States. Huffman uses a general information system called TruckMaster and TruckMaster is a software solutions company that provides software integrated to dispatching, billing, settlements, accounting, maintenance, payroll, safety, and brokerage. TruckMaster provides detail information dispatching tractors to pick up and deliver products and goods. Huffman trucking mission statement is to provide customers with competitive prices, on-time delivery’s, and provide profitability in an increasingly competitive market.
