Management Communications with Technology Tools

I think that my communication skills could always use some improving. Communication allows us to adapt to different situations that we are placed in from day to day. My problem with communication would be that I sometimes use the same dialect for every conversation instead of switching it when it is needed. Every conversation is not going to go the same way and the same manner of speaking is not going to be used (Bacck, 2012). Communication lets us get to know people, and to learn different cultures as well as different languages. For me it is sometimes hard to communicate especially when I am angry, because I can never get my words to come out right, or I forget things that I want to say.

It takes two to communicate and each one should be ready and able to listen to what the other has to say. Talking is easy, but communicating requires greater skill. It is easier to talk to someone when there are no feelings of hostility and anger in the air. Trying to communicate with someone when you are caught up in emotions is hard. I know that if I respond to a person in a way that makes them feel like I am not attacking them, then I will get a better response. If you can show a person that you understand their feelings while communicating with them the outcome is always better. It is hard for me to speak to a group of people; I do not believe that I am shy; it is just hard to gather my thoughts.

I always have problems getting along with people that are older than me and are in a position of authority. The communication barriers go up instantly, because they automatically think that I do not know enough or they are informed that I know more than them. For me there is no way around this issue, and I end up stuck in a position when I could be promoted.
