Creative Writing

Charlotte Winters was a beautiful young extravagant lady who’s life was simple yet trying. Her manners and character eloquently intrigued all who came within her presence. She had emerald green eyes that glistened beyond her long flowing sun kissed locks and snowy white skin. Though small in stature, this young lady had an enormous heart with a great imagination and a knack for creativity.

As an only child, she was born into a middle class family in the small country town of Richmond. Her mother, a homemaker and her father, a mill worker. They lived in a quaint cabin surrounded by great forest trees and a babbling brook. A charismatic energetic toddler, Charlotte loved to spend every free moment outside in the nature around her. From the age of 5, Charlotte would explore the areas around her home gathering flowers, stones, bark, and anything else she could find.

Each day for ten years Charlotte would gather her trinkets and with great enjoyment would return home each day to create a masterpiece out of each of her found items. A hobby that had gotten cut short when her mother fell very ill to fever. Her father worked hard for the survival of his family while Charlotte, at the tender age of 15, tended to her mother’s aid and the household chores. Her lax days of exploration and creativity had ceased.

By the time she was 18, Charlotte’s mother had become terminally ill after a long fight with her fever. Her father had left his job to stay with his wife, and Charlotte sought work to help support her family. Her young carefree simplistic days were long gone and Charlotte became a housekeeper for the town’s Mayor and his family.

While working for Mayor’s family Charlotte had the opportunity to meet great wealthy entrepreneurs in all different fields. Her beauty and mannered character never went unnoticed. However, her stature of being a housekeeper plagued her opportunity for any companionship. Many male visitors of the...
