I have to admit preparing for this paper I wondered what on earth I could tell that you that you did not already know, reading your biography and scanning through your publications and your travels all over the world, I had a hard time deciding on a topic on this paper, nevertheless I felt that writing a subject that have been my passion for many years could at least be rather interesting while reading this paper. So in this paper I will be discussing the topic of corporation social responsibility.

We are finally seeing corporations and civil societies beginning to see each other in a new light. Many see it as a slow process, nevertheless many of these corporations are using creativity, risk taking and exploring new frontier to better the human life. Conferences all over the world are being held to discuss how corporations can better their responsibility toward humanity and the environment, as the year comes we are seeing more and more companies participating donating money and playing an active role in this process, but the question here is why corporation need to be socially responsible? Isn’t corporation all about profit maximization? Why do we have to care about the vindictive and ghoulish ways that multinational corporation have used in their behavior toward workers in developing countries or even the environment in order to guarantee the green arrow in the stock market .

For a long time it has been argued that companies and civil societies have emerged from different spectrums, as companies’ main focus was their balanced sheet, while civil societies criticized them for the lack of social and moral responsibility.
