The coffee business in today's economy continues to thrive due to America's need for caffeine and exotic drink purchases. Coffee consumption statistics show that coffee represents 75% of all the caffeine consumed in the United States (Coffee Statistics Report - 2012, 2012). This is an untapped market in many parts of the United States and coffee statistics show that coffee is the most popular beverage worldwide with more than 400 billion cups consumed each year (Coffee Statistics Report - 2012, 2012). The coffee business is the fastest growing part of the restaurant business with a 7% annual growth rate and Americans take the grand prize for consuming the most coffee worldwide with 400 million cups per day or 146 billion cups per year (Coffee Statistics Report 2012 Edition, 2012).
