My company, which is called Carrier, has gotten a tremendous amount of automation and collaboration software to help them with their daily activities. Carrier makes sure that the company is running in a straight line, when they are doing their day to day activities. Carrier has done its part to keep its company in the up to date world of automation and collaborative software to office. Some of the collaborative software that has been adopted by Carrier is use of e-mail, instant Messaging, and Microsoft Word.

E-mail is a standard tool used a Carrier. After those companies started getting it has dropped cost. The use of email in the Carrier has some wonderful advantages, E-mail is a cheap way to communicate for a company, and an employee can forward mail to another person. A person can check their email anywhere in the world as long as they had internet connection another advantage is unlimited storage facility. A disadvantage of email is that it can be used to communicate company information people might abuse this use.

Carrier uses instant messaging to communicate within or outside the organization. This is very popular in our company and one can get information quickly after sending a message to the other employee either within or outside the company. Different employees can communicate at the same time with instant messaging. The disadvantage of instant messaging is that has to have at least two people doing it for this to be successful without two people there will not be any feedback.

Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 provides a company with a comprehensive time and information manager. Using new features such as Instant Search and the To-Do Bar, you can organize and instantly locate the information that you need.
