Connections of the following persons to Rizal during His trial:

1. Pio Valenzuela- He’s an Emissary- a person sent on a special mission, usually as a diplomatic representative.

2. Andress Bonifacio- He’s a member of Katipunero’s during that time. Who disguised as a sailor of motor caridad so that they can easily penetrate the cruiser Castilla.

3. Apolonario Mabini- Member of La liga Filipina- He influenced the society via many of his political writings. 

4. Deodato arellano- Sec of La liga- stand as testimonial evidence.

5. Pedro Serrano Laktaw- Tagalog Lexicographer, assumes a role to mislead the friars and Jesuits during Rzal’s trial.

Who made our National Hero? If none, what makes a Hero?

* No single person or groups of persons were responsible for making the greatest Malayan the Number One Hero of his people. Rizal himself, his own people, and foreigners all together contributed to make him the greatest hero and martyr of his people. No amount of adulation canonization by both Filipinos and foreigners could convert Rizal into a great hero if he did not possess in himself.

* In American setting it was William Taft and other Americans made Dr. Jose Rizal our National hero in 1901, Taft chose him (Rizal) as a model hero over other contestants - Aguinaldo too militant, Bonifacio too radical, Mabini unregenerate." but in Philippine setting there no Law or executive order or proclamation had been enacted or issued officially proclaiming any Filipino historical figure as a national hero, however because of their significance role in the process of national building and contribution to history, there were laws enacted and proclamation issued honoring these heroes
