Introduction

1 Background of the Study

The Campus Ministry Office is one of the main offices in the Ateneo de Zamboanga University. Currently, it has a mini-library that offers religious reading documents to the Atenean public. The Office lends students these books for self-purposes, provided that they will be returned. Currently, the Campus Ministry Office is doing this system by manual means; the student asks for a book or reading document from the Campus Ministry Office, and if the office does have the book that the student/teacher wanted to borrow, they leave their IDs to them and get it back when they return the book. For this reason, the researchers want to find out ways to improve the current system that the Campus Ministry Office is using.

2 Research Objectives

4.1 General

Our objective for doing this research is to automate the current system that the Campus Ministry Office is currently using.

4.2 Specific

In order to solve our general objective, we need to find out what are the advantages and disadvantages in having an automated mini-library system. Also, we aim to find innovative alternatives to improve the current system.

3 Significance of the Study

The significance of this study is so that we can, first of all, advertise the fact that the Campus Ministry Office has a book lending system. Most people doesn’t have knowledge about this, and thus, using this research, it helps improve the usage of the system that the Campus Ministry Office offers. Also, by improving the system that they have, we can make borrowing and lending of reading materials from this said office be more practical.

4 Scope and Limitations of the Study
