CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
The advent of new technology gave rise to easy and hawk free interaction between and among humans, whatever it is, business, science, task a person takes on the quality and speed of carrying it out are enhanced with automation at the core of the efficient.
Today, many systems have used an automation process like using computer system, due to the efficient and accuracy. Hotel reservation system is a transaction processing system, in this system there are more advantages rather than a manual hotel reservation.
A hotel is an establishment that provides paid lodging on a short-term basis. The provision of basic accommodation in time past, consisting only of a room with a bed, a cupboard, a small table and a washstand has largely been replaced by rooms with modern facilities, including en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning or climate control.
1.1 Background of Study
It was December 8, 1990 when Hotel Castro was established. It is located # .47 Sinsuat Avenue Cotabato City and managed by Ricky Castro. The establishment offered room accommodation, catering services and function rooms for conference and seminars.
Presently, Hotel Castro is experiencing some problem with regards to the system transaction with their customers due to manual basis system .They are still using manual method
Through log books which causes series of services transaction delayed. Consequently, the unnecessary delay cannot be tolerated anymore by the clients and customers.
