1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A careful analysis of the organizational issues within Initech has revealed that while many

problems exist, two key issues should be addressed to provide maximum impact on improving

organizational performance. These two issues, which are low employee morale and destructive

leadership behaviours, go hand in hand. It is imperative that both issues be addressed in order to

successfully impact the organization.

In the case of employee morale, Initech employees are not committed to the organization.

They are unhappy, demotivated, and do not feel valued by their employer. As a result, they are

working at very low levels of productivity. To address this issue, I propose the implementation of

an employee engagement initiative which will consist of the following 3 components:

opportunity, Incentive, and Communication. By targeting the employee morale issue, Initech will

see significant improvement in productivity.

In order for this employee engagement initiative to be effective, we need to address the issue
