Abstract

Character should not just be connected with an individual. It can be found in many businesses today. Everyone has character. Various situations in life have helped build ones character. Character can be compassion, meekness, joyfulness, loyalty or humility. According to Abraham Lincoln, “Our character is much more than just what an individual tries to display for others to see, it is who we are even when no one is watching.” This essay will discuss one Scripture verse that is associated to character and to a Firm having character. The essay will also discuss Scripture within the context of Marketing Management.

Character

What is character? According to Stolorow (2012), Character can be defined as the constant and unique qualities built into an individual’s life, which defines his or her reaction regardless of conditions. Presently, companies are marketing themselves and building there foundation based on its founders character or religious beliefs. Many Bible verses voice the importance of character. For example, Galatians 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” What this may suggest is that the importance of character should be stressed not only in the home, but also in the workplace.

According to Sonnenberg (2010), Chick-Fil-A founder and chairperson, S. Truett Cathy, has allotted that every Sunday, all chains remain closed to permit staff the time to go and worship the Lord. In today’s economy, businesses have had to manage their marketing a little differently. Many companies went back to the core values of what the company truly represents.
