The project will meet the deadline of June 30, 2012 that was set by Board of Directors. There are many variables and task that must be completed in order to start the construction of the building. The construction of the building will begin July 25, 2011 and finish on April 27, 2012. The deadline of June 30, 2012 will be eight weeks after the building construction. The planning phase will take ten full weeks to complete before the site preparation can begin. By meeting the June 30, 2012 deadline may create a positive impact on the entire project and could potentially lead to the introduction of the new plastic containers. Her goal was to make sure that the plant was fully operational to introduce new product. Her deadline requirement had the assurance that the equipment was properly installed and that the new product was properly tested, thereby insuring full production operation run by the July 6, 2012 as set by the Board of Directors.

The deadline that was set by the Board of Directors will be met promptly and ahead of time by six days. This will allow the production start-up to begin on June 25, 2012 and distribution by July 2, 2012. The deadline will be met and the production of the new product for the industry will be completely functional. This will then be a great opportunity for Laura Kim and her project team to convince the board of directors to fund other new products and launch within the 2012 year. The Board of Directors will probably want to see a full production progress in this particular market before introducing any new product lines.

According to the Project Schedule, Facility Specialist (FS) is over-allocated. It was approved to procure an existing plant in the Planning Phase, because this will alleviate the over tasking of the Real Estate Consultant (RC). It has alleviated some tasking for the FS (i.e. procuring a building site and constructing a building), now the RC and the FS can work on recruiting management personnel and training them....
