Kathy Kudler, the founder of Kudler Fine Foods developed a business plan for Kudler Fine Foods in hopes to build an organization that would focus on quality products and services and to achieve high customer satisfaction. Kathy opened up her first store on June 18, 1988, and only nine months later broke even and became profitable for the year. Kudler opened a second store in 2000, and a third in 2003. Kudler became successful because of her efficient marketing strategies which led her to high profits. This paper will analyze Kudler Fine Foods competitive market strategies and market structures, along with its strengths and weaknesses.
Kudler Fine Foods has become one of the most successful specialized foods businesses that has consistently met its consumer demands. Not only does the company dominate in customer satisfaction, but Kudler Fine Foods is also persistent in hiring and training some of the best gourmet chefs. By producing high quality products, Kudler Find Foods continues to attract new customers. A decrease in customer bargaining has played a huge role into attracting new customers. Because the products that Kudler Fine Foods produces are not easily assessable, consumers are drawn to buy the products from them. The products and chefs of Kudler Fine Foods make the company successful in itself, but the management of the company acts as the glue. The management at Kudler Fine Foods is conscious of the needs of its consumers. At gourmet food parties, Kudler Fine Foods provides extra buying opportunities at discounted prices for its customers. These managers understand the importance of customers to their business. More customers will lead to more sales, ultimately resulting in greater profit margins. Supply managers are focused on one thing, attracting more customers.
