ABSTRACT

Coca-Cola continues to maintain market excellence for over fifty years. The product is an industry leader that continues to enter global markets in today’s global economies. The formula for success for this product has been taste and effective marketing. To remain superior to the other brands on the market Coke will need to continue its aggressive advertising and develop alternative beverage lines to meet today’s market demand.

INTRODUCTION

Coca-Cola Company continues to be the industry’s beverage leader. Coca-Cola's greatest strength is its brand name.   People are willing to buy Coke regardless of their choices in blind taste tests, simply because of its reputation.   Coca-Cola is considered to be the world's number one soft drinks company and is the world's most recognized trademark.   This strong reputation helps the company when competing with others in the soft drink market. Coca-Cola will continue its strong market share by expanding in to other ventures and continuing its strong market share position. Coca-Cola needs to remain active in all current advertising and focus on the young consumers of Coca-Cola Products.

HISTORY

The Coca-Cola Company was originally established in 1886 by Dr. John Styth Pemberton. Coca-Cola developed into one of the largest companies in the world and has accomplished many milestones becoming the worlds number one manufacturer of soft drinks, operating worldwide in over 200 countries, having over a billion cans of Coca-Cola consumed everyday worldwide, to become the first company to both produce and use plastic bottles made from recycled material.
