General Information

Objective of the Practical Placement Report

In order to complete the Practical Placement you must write a (reflection) report in

accordance with the guidelines outlined below. Your Practical Placement

Report (PPR) must demonstrate that you are able to apply in practice the

theoretical knowledge gained in Phase 1. In the report you "test” the theory from

Phase 1 in real-life and draw conclusions from it.

In other words, the information you have acquired regarding your placement hotel

must be critically appraised and assessed in the light of the theory from Phase

1. For this reason you are strongly advised to consult the relevant course

materials during the writing process. It may be helpful to have some books or

readers in particular with you during your placement period.
