Steve Jobs (Biography)

Steve Jobs was born to two young college students who subsequently put him up for adoption thus creating his first hurdle to becoming successful. Steve was adopted by two hard working parents, his mom an accountant and his father a tenured coast guard veteran. While growing up, Steve’s father would sit down with son and teach him about mechanics and the inner workings of electronics. Jobs was a natural at helping his father re-assemble those electronics and this hobby of his would soon become much more. Steve’s next hurdle was adapting to social norms and traditional schooling. Steve was naturally intelligent and his peers and teachers all recognized this and it was his teachers who took high notice of this and lobbied to his parents that he should skip him straight from middle school to high school.

When Steve got to high school he quickly learned that the average work load and material taught in school did not fancy him to the degree in which he needed. Jobs while still in high school would frequently spend his time at the software company Hewlett-Packard, unbeknownst to him meeting who would become one of his greatest friends and work partners Steve Wozniak.

After graduation, Steve Jobs enrolled in a small college in Oregon where the same sense of emptiness still remained.

This time, Steve decided that traditional school was not for him and that he wanted to explore other options that would best utilize his visionary attitude and freedom of expression. Jobs first “real” job was an entry video game designer position with Atari. Once again, Jobs became bored with his mundane job and this time opted for something totally different, spiritual enlightenment. Steve decided that he could not attain this so-called “spiritual enlightenment” in the United States so he boarded a plane to India where he spent a good amount of time experimenting with psychedelic drugs.
