1.1 Introduction

Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd is a scheduled commercial bank of Bangladesh. The Bank was established under the Bank Companies Act 1991 and incorporated as a public limited company under the Companies Act 1994 in Bangladesh with the primary objective to carry on all kinds of banking business in Bangladesh. It is one of the fast growing leading online banks in private sector. This is a descriptive report on Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd. that mentions the activities of General Banking, On-line banking and corporate social responsibility (CSR) of the bank.

1.2 Origin of the report

Now it is the era of Business & Technology. To keep pace with the Education system has become more and more practical and as a result practical knowledge has got priority. To provide fresh graduates with professional knowledge related to the academic training, University of Dhaka, which is conducting Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting. The course contains indispensable practical orientation in different organizations as a part of the BBA Program. Under this course the students are sent to gather practical knowledge about organizational environment and activities.

1.3 Objective of the study

As business student it is indispensable to undergo some practical study like this for the purpose of having flavor of professional atmosphere and make rectification, as required. The specific objectives of the study are:

• To fulfill the academic requirement for the course BBA

• To observe and study various desk works of the Bank

• To get a brief experience about the environment and trends of an organization.

• To present how this bank is operating in online & contributing to our country.

• To describe how this bank is offering and attracting to customers.
