In this paper I am going to describe a marketing plan for McBride Financial Services. I am going to explain What market research I would undertake, what types of media would be used, McBrides target markets, and my considerations for McBride to conduct a portion of their marketing on the Internet.

McBride Financial Services strives to be the preeminent provider of low cost mortgage services using state-of-the-art technology in the five state area of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota.  Upon approved credit McBride Financial Services provide credit reports, home inspections, appraisals, and a mortgage at the lowest rate available. McBride Financial Services offers all of this at a fixed price of 1,500 dollars.

When it comes to marketing there are two different tools a company can use. The first marketing approach is the 4P’s which stands for product, price, place, and promotion. This marketing tool has been around for many years. The second marketing tool is SIVA. SIVA has not been around as long as the 4P’s. SIVA stands for solution, information, value and access. I believe that the SIVA marketing approach would better suit McBride Financial services because it is more customer focused. For my marketing strategy I would research the amount of people in the area that are potential home buyers. I would research the amount of homes that are on the market as well as the areas that the homes are being sold in and the price ranges of these homes. Another good area to research would be to find out if many families could be moving into the area in the near future. If there are colleges in the area I would research the amount of college students in the area and the amount of college students away at different colleges that could be returning home to get their dream job and dream house!
