Re: HR Integration Project Approval

Mr. McCauley, according to Brown (2007), with the changing world and constant new technology that is available, managers need to be aware of the technology that will increase effectiveness in their company. We at Riordan Manufacturing have recognized this need and are implementing the HR integration project. The new HR system will be combing the old and new applications into a single integrated system. This will allow improved accuracy of records as well as prepare for future growth. This project has been scheduled for a four-month release. It should be available by the ending of the first quarter of next year.

When completed, the project will define the business requirements foe the development of the HR system and create a detailed project plan that provides a list of all task, resources, schedule and budget requirements for project completion. System documentation will begin and continue through the design, development and installation of the system. The Project Management team will provide weekly status report to you, Mr. McCauley, so that real time corrections can be accomplished. Phases must be approved by you before proceeding on to the next phase.

The following is a list of the phases; task involved, the estimated duration of, and brief description of each phase.

Define Problem – four days

Meet with the CEO, COO and CIO to assess their ideas and concern regarding project. Also to have the executives express what their expectations are for the project. We will also draft a project plan.
