Introduction
Discrimination against woman in corporate America and trying to create a diverse workforce is an ever increasing problem. In a world dominated by men, it is very difficult for woman to work in a position of power. However, in Korea, women are beginning to change the culture of the corporate world of their country. Even though Korean men are resisting the change, the women in the field are working harder and getting noticed for their efforts. In an age where the workforce is increasingly growing with new women colleagues, the idea of women in authority is becoming more prominent in the work place.
Criteria I
One would like to think in an expanding culture where many families are using two incomes to finance their lives; it only makes since to give both men and women equal opportunities in the work place. In order to successfully adopt this practice effectively, a top notch Human Resource Department is going to be needed to adhere to the current policies and laws governing equal rights in the work place. It is disheartening to think there are still corporations that still conform to a male dominated work place, and leave the clerical work to women. In order to achieve the success needed to achieve equality in the work place, it may be necessary to hire an outside resource.
An outside Human Resource consultant, would strictly adhere to not only the companies policies and procedures, it would also be in the position to adhere to the state and federal laws surrounding equal rights for men and women in the work place. This governing resource would be what is needed in order to make sure that women in the workplace are not discriminated against for their gender (Workinginfo.com).
